Chinese Grace Evangelical Free Church of Greater Seattle
Introduction
· Exalt the Lord – To establish a Christ-centered church praising and worshipping God.

· Proclaim the Lord – Spread the Gospel to people of all nations giving them the opportunity to accept Christ as their Savior.
II. Church Background
· An independent, evangelical, Bible teaching and Christ-centered Chinese Christian church founded in 1992, associated with ANACEFC (Association of North American Chinese Evangelical Free Churches) & EFCA (Evangelical Free Church of America). Currently, we are meeting at 7812 224th St., SW, Edmonds, WA 98026.
· Governed by God, Deacon Board and Pastor.
· Sunday worship service at 11:30 a.m. in Cantonese & Mandarin with English earphone translation. Average Sunday attendance – adult & youth: 62, children: 2 groups, 5-8 years old and 8-12 years old, total average about 11.
· Congregational Distribution: total 81 people (not including children)– 0.41 from Hong Kong, 0.2 from China, 0.04 from Macau, 0.01 from Taiwan, 0.1 from Southeast Asia, 0.05 from English speaking Americans, 0.07 from ABC Youth & young adults, 0.125 from Hong Kong Youth.
III. Youth & Young Adult Group
· It consists of approximately 10 youth, ages ranging from 11 to 18, mainly Cantonese speaking from Hong Kong and 6 English speaking potential youth & young adults.
Ministry Responsibilities:
· Part time: 20 hours per week
· Pray for God’s guidance, direction, provision & ministry
· Develop and lead English speaking youth and young adult ministry
· Build youth ministry team
· Integrate youth ministry into church life to create intergenerational culture
· Shepherd, disciple, train and counsel youth & young adult
· Preach Sunday messages on a monthly basis
· Teach Sunday School class or lead Bible Study group
· Assist in the development and oversight of the youth ministry budgets
· Other duties as required
Qualifications:
· Personal: spiritual maturity, integrity & financial accountability
· Calling: love to serve among young Chinese and Asian Americans with commitment
· Leadership: visionary with servant leadership by modeling & influencing others
· Training: seminary/Bible school graduate or training for biblical teaching & leadership
· Pastoral: pastoral care experience & counseling ministry
· Team: team player & submitting to church leadership
· People-oriented: good interpersonal skills and willing to work in diverse cultural context
· Cultural: understand youth culture, Chinese culture and cross-cultural ministry
· Value: agree with CGEFC value, structure, mission and faith statement
